City Pool: Covid-19 Update

By mid-May on a normal year, the swimming pool would be full of water, and excitement would be stirring in the minds of the young and old alike for a cool dip in the pool during the hot days to come. But 2020 is not a normal year. The Covid-19 pandemic is creating uncertainty for many events typically scheduled during the summer. The City is currently waiting on updated health directives from the State of Nebraska to determine whether it is feasible to open the pool this year. The ability to sanitize common areas is the largest factor in making final decisions. Ensuring the public’s health and safety is of utmost importance. Stay tuned for updates.
