Storm Damage – Solicitors Permit

As a result of recent storms, you may have or know of someone that has damage to their property. Contractors may be coming door-to-door suggesting that they can help you with this storm damage. Please be aware that businesses MUST have a Solicitors Permit to go door-to-door within the St. Paul city limits. The permits are issued by the Police Department. You can ask to see the permit if you are approached by someone. If they are not willing to show their permit or do not have a permit, please contact the Police Department at 308-754-9112.

Please note that the City does not and will not endorse any of these businesses, however we strongly suggest that you conduct your own research before contracting with any business. Contact the Better Business Bureau in Lincoln, and check for references or reviews of their work.

For contractors: A Solicitation Permit Application must be completed and approved prior to going door-to-door seeking business.
